Yep, you read that right! I am back after a couple years away from this place. I'd forgotten about it... lost a PC etc and now after 2 yrs I am ready to try to get some relevant posts going. ;>)
I'm into Jazz, Swing & Blues and of course what they call western swing - or at least some of it. I even like a lot of country and western music, classic rock, R&B, surf music and a bucketlist of styles and genres too many to list. In short I like guitar music that gets it on! I love other instruments too. I don't think the world revolves around the guitar - it just happens to be my strongest suit with mandolin a close 2nd BUT I don't play bluegrass. My style leans more to Jazz, Swing & Blues. I love great saxmen, Jazz & Swing fiddle & violin, hot clarinet, trombone, trumpet and piano, great drummers and bass players as well as steel guitar. I like GREAT music!

Welcome to The Jazz Guitartist!
This will be my little corner of Blog alley as soon as I figure out what I am going to do here. I chose my name because I saw a few other people use it except that I haven't seen it used by anyone that plays Jazz Guitar.
Jazz is what I am about. It's what I love and what I do best with a guitar in my hands. I can play a lot of that other stuff but my true artistry comes out when I play Jazz. It's where I shine and it's where I started over 45 years ago when I was a wee little laddie with my Pop's big F-hole archtop guitar with the neck that I couldn't get my hand all the way around.
Enuff 'bout me already - this blog won't be about me; it will be my tribute to Jazz Guitar Artists that I appreciate! I'll probably put some cool YouTubes here with some links to go fetch some tunage as well as some great photos as I find 'em.
